Nursery Closet Redesign

An easy way to add a little organization to your life is with a custom closet redesign! Our nursery closet was fine to begin with but adding a cleaner custom organization system made it easier to store clothes, books, and all things baby! As any new parent knows, streamlining and decluttering your life is one way to maintain your sanity.

Here is the before picture! Things we knew we wanted to see in our new closet:

• Space to grow. As much as we hate to admit it... her clothes will get a little bigger. We'll need room for longer dresses, bigger coats, etc.

• Room for books. She doesn't have a bookshelf out in her room and reading is very important to us. We need space to store her ever growing library!

• Accessory Storage. Let's be real. She has too many hair bows. We need a place to organize those! You see that box on top of the safe in the before picture? Filled with bows.

Here is our after! The process looked like this.

• Establish needs & wants

• Measure and order the closet system from Ikea

• remove existing hardware, patch holes, & paint to give the closet a clean slate

• Install closet system

• Organize & purge items

• Bring items back into the closet!

• Voila! A closet that brings joy. Is that a thing? Yes.
